Garden of Thorns

Garden of Thornes by Amber Mitchell
Rose is a slave, forced to dance for a show where the Gardener is the sole ruler. She finds a way to escape her tormentor during a performance and chooses a random man in the audience as hostage. But Rayce isn’t a random man. He’s the leader of the rebellion against the Emperor. From that moment, Rose and Rayce’s destinies entwine into a fast paced adventure.
I loved the world building of this novel, and I found easy to relate to Rose’s inner struggle and fears.  A few things weren’t perhaps believable, like the ability of Rose to learn sword-fighting in a few days. She even manages to kill skilled swordsmen quite easily, which left me puzzled, but overall the book is a fast, lovely read, full of twists and great writing. Strongly recommend it.
